Natasha & Brad | Couples
It’s not often that I give away my photography services. I mean, that would be a terrible business model, and I wouldn’t last very long in this industry. I will, however, occasionally provide a donation or host a giveaway for a free photoshoot. It’s a perfect two-way street: I give potential clients a set of free images to do with whatever they wish, and in return, I get a little bump in my social following AND I get to meet new people. Yay symbiotic marketing!
Natasha and Brad’s free photoshoot was one of the many occasions where I felt like the clients were doing more for me than I was doing for them. Instead of needing to scope out locations or possibly renting a studio space, Natasha chose her family’s farm in early November during peak foliage season. I mean, can we talk about how gorgeous those yellow leaves are? It’s like the scene was painted in gold.
Additionally, Natasha and Brad just did their thing when it came to posing. There were only a few moments that required a bit of direction, but those loving glances and sweet embraces are 100% organic and cage-free. There’s no better feeling as a photographer than when I can just click the shutter button without having to say “Now pretend you like each other!”
Although the weather was a windy and overcast mix (typical Pennsylvania autumn day), this duo powered through with rosy cheeks, cold hands, and big smiles. They kept their spirits high as we hiked off-trail and posed on the forest floor as if it was just another day. My kind of people.
And what better way to end a perfect chilly autumn photoshoot than with a few shots on a tire swing? Every photoshoot is better with a bit of nostalgia. As far as photoshoots go, Natasha and Brad set the bar high with a stellar location, effortless aura, and really frickin’ cool prop.
